A small residential garden in a dense urban neighborhood, heavily shaded and built above an underground parking garage. Working within the considerable constraints of shallow soil, limited drainage, and borrowed light, the design creates a calm and intimate space, the kind of garden that asks nothing of you except that you come and sit for a while.
