As lead landscape architect for the ongoing Casa della Regina Carolina excavation and restoration project at Pompeii, I synthesize archaeological findings into spatial reconstructions of the Roman domestic garden at insula VIII 3.14-15. Analytical mapping of root cavities, ceramic planting pots, pathways, and fossil pollen translates excavation data into landscape plans reconstructing the Pompeian garden's layout and circulation at the moment of Vesuvius' eruption in 79 CE.
