Reconstruction of the Great Peristyle garden at Villa Arianna in Stabiae through digital modeling that tests Roman wall painting evidence against archaeological excavation data. Analysis of ancient Roman tree pruning and dwarfing techniques recreates layered planting arrangements precisely calibrated to viewer sight lines, bridging two-dimensional painted garden evidence with excavated three-dimensional landscape remains.
